Philadelphia police are searching for three suspects after a home invasion Friday morning.

Police say three men stormed a house in the middle of the 2400 block of South Sheridan Street in South Philadelphia.

Investigators said there was a scuffle inside the house in which shots were fired, but no one was hit.

When police arrived, two of the five victims showed facial injuries, but police say they refused medical assistance.

Police say the suspects ran off with a cell phone, jewelry and a safe containing lottery tickets and several hundred dollars.

Officers have responded to trouble at the home in the past, they said.

A former Jersey Shore vice principal and athletic director read her superior’s email without permission and it could land her in prison for a decade, said prosecutors.

Ex-Ocean City High School vice principal and athletic director Christine Lentz, 53, faces official misconduct and computer criminal activity charges in Cape May County court, said the county prosecutor's office.

A month-long investigation by the county prosecutor’s tech unit showed that Lentz, while still employed at the school, read Superintendent Kathleen Taylor’s emails from April 1 to June 1 without clearance to do so.

After 30 years in the district and seven years as athletic director, Lentz retired at the end of last school year, reported The Press of Atlantic City.

The Woodbine, New Jersey resident turned herself in Tuesday and was released on a summons until her next court appearance, said prosecutors.

If convicted on both counts, Lentz faces up to 15 years in prison, said prosecutors.

A school bus, taxi and another car collided at a Philadelphia intersection Friday morning leaving people in multiple vehicles hurt.

The wreck caused traffic troubles at W Chew and W Olney avenues – that’s right by La Salle University – around 10:15 a.m.

Medics transported at least two people from the scene to Einstein Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. The Germantown Cab Co. taxi driver said that medics took the bus driver and someone from the other vehicle from the scene.

The vehicles, which included the taxi and Cora Services bus, blocked the roadway as crews worked to clear the scene. The taxi had damage to the driver side of the car.

The taxi driver, who wasn't hurt, told NBC10 he was turning onto Chew when the bus -- with no children on board -- crashed into him.

You can see in surveillance video released by Philadelphia Police Friday three women making a dash for it after swiping baby section items from a South Philly Toys R Us store last month.

The suspects took items from the baby section of the store at 2703 S 3rd Street. The women appeared to be shopping as they walked normally through the store before reaching the exit, where their pace sped up to a full sprint.

Although one of the suspects entered the store with a shopping cart, by the time the women had taken the items off the shelves, she was no longer using the shopping cart.

Video cameras captured the women as they walked past the registers without paying and eventually set off the security alarm while they exited the store. No employees were at the registers while the women went past with the stolen goods.

The women ran through the parking lot and made their escape in a blue Honda Accord.

Police have yet to catch the suspects and have turned to the public for help identifying them. If you recognize the women please contact Philadelphia Police.

High pressure builds in for Saturday, even more for Sunday. Humidity stays low for Saturday, still comfortable for Sunday. A warm, dry weekend is on tap!

The area of low pressure that gave rain to New Jersey and Delaware Friday will move away for the weekend. Clouds and some light showers could still linger near the Jersey Shore and Delaware beaches Saturday morning as another area of low pressure forms offshore. This will provide northeast winds around 15 to 25 mph near the shore with a moderate to high risk for dangerous rip currents both Saturday and Sunday.

High pressure will keep building in for Sunday with more sunshine for the shore. It won’t be as windy Sunday, but the rip current threat will still remain.

Saturday:
Jersey Shore/Delaware beaches: Clouds and sun, 79 degrees, slight shower chance, windy
Philadelphia: Sunny, 84 degrees
Poconos: Sunny, 78 degrees

Saturday:
NJ shore/DE beaches: Sunny, 82 degrees
Philadelphia: Sunny, 85 degrees
Poconos: Mostly sunny, 79 degrees

Former NFL star Irving Fryar has been found guilty of a role in a mortgage scam and faces up to 10 years in prison.

A New Jersey jury found Friday that the 52-year-old former wide receiver applied for multiple mortgage loans in quick succession while using the same property as collateral.

The question was never whether he did it, but whether he was responsible for a crime.

Fryar's defense was that he was a victim of a "con artist'' who told him to carry out the scheme. That man, William Barksdale, pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge last year and was the government's key witness.

Fryar's mother Allene McGhee was also convicted.

Neither Fryar nor McGhee testified in the three-week trial.

Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 2.
