Everyone knows Philly is home to the Eagles but another state may be bigger fans of the birds than Pennsylvania.
Dick’s Sporting Goods found that the most Eagles’ jerseys were not sold in Pennsylvania but in Delaware.
The store compiled their numbers to make the map shown above that illustrates the most popular football team in each state. (Whoever knew that people in Montana loved the Oakland Raiders so much?)
Look closely and you see that the First State is colored Eagles green. You will also notice that Pennsylvania is shaded gold representing the Steelers as its most popular team (when it comes to jersey sales at one sports retailer).
Eagles’ jerseys were the second most popular in Pennsylvania but a representative from Dick’s said they were a “considerable amount behind” Steelers’ sales.
The Eagles were also No. 2 in New Jersey, beat out by the Giants but not the Jets.
