Two people escaped injury and a firefighter suffered extreme heat exhaustion after a fire broke out at a home in Cape May County, New Jersey.
Authorities say the fire spread quickly through a home on the 5100 block of Ocean Drive in Avalon shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday.
Two people were inside the home when the fire began but were able to get out safely, fire officials say. The entire home was destroyed in the blaze.
Authorities say the firefighter was treated at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
