Police later took the alleged hit-and-run driver into custody. They didn’t immediately identify the victim or the driver.

Police closed part of the roadway for hours as they investigated the circumstances around the crash but reopened the road before the morning rush.

Mueller Probes Possible $15M Flynn-Turkey Deal: Sources

Federal investigators are examining whether former national security adviser Michael Flynn met with senior Turkish officials about a potential quid pro quo in which Flynn would be paid to carry out directives from Ankara secretly while in the White House, according to multiple people familiar with the investigation.

Investigators for special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election recently questioned witnesses about the alleged December 2016 meeting — just weeks before President Donald Trump's inauguration — between Flynn and senior Turkish officials, two people knowledgeable with the interviews said. The questions were part of a line of inquiry regarding Flynn's lobbying efforts on behalf of Turkey.

Possible deals under investigation include returning a chief rival of Turkish President Recep Erdogan who lives in Pennsylvania and freeing a Turkish-Iranian gold trader who is jailed in New York, sources said. Two sources familiar with the meeting said Flynn was offered upwards of $15 million, to be paid directly or indirectly, if he could complete the deal.

The elder Flynn's lawyer did not respond to requests for comment, and the lawyer for his son, Michael G. Flynn, declined comment — investigators are also looking at the younger Flynn's role in any possible deal while he worked at his father's lobbying firm.

We Missed A Light Show in the Sky

Solar winds from a vigorous geomagnetic storm on the sun have been striking Earth during the past week and triggering one of the more spectacular shows of the northern lights (Aurora Borealis) in recent memory. The light show was visible across the northern United States from Philadelphia to Nebraska. Unfortunately cloud cover kept those of us in Philadelphia from enjoying the rare sight this time around. There were numerous reports of the colorful red and green pillars overhead in southern Wisconsin.

This video was from Finland yesterday courtesy; All About Lapland magazine

This recently opened large hole in the suns atmosphere is where bursts of plasma (Solar Flares) have been originated from and produced the solar winds composed of charged particles that have raced toward Earth at speeds up to 2 million miles per hour.

When these charged solar particles hit Earth’s atmosphere they interact with the air and a spectacular light show of reds and greens is the result.

Winter is a great time to see the northern lights because of the extra hours of darkness. Typically late evening toward midnight is when the best viewing takes place. You need to be away from city lights and look toward the North Pole.

A Michigan man is facing stalking and harassment charges for stalking a Main Line teen who is popular on social media, police said.

Michael Leib, 30, showed up at the teen's Radnor Township, Pennsylvania home for the first time a couple weeks ago, then again this week, police said.

Family members of the teen, who is well-known on YouTube and Instagram, received threatening messages from Leib saying, "I am going to take your son," police said.

When the man showed up at the Radnor home, family called police, but Leib got away.

This week, detectives took control of the teen's accounts to lure Leib back to the home where he was arrested.

Leib was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor stalking and harassment charges. He was arraigned and released after posting 10 percent of $20,000 bail. Attorney information was not listed on court documents.

Police warn parents to be diligent about checking their children's social media accounts for any red flags.

Rockefeller Tree Arrives in NYC

Grab a cup of hot cider and dust off the Christmas cheer, one of the first signs of the holiday season made its gigantic entrance into New York City on Saturday.

The 75-foot-tall Norway spruce arrived by truck in midtown Manhattan early Saturday and was lifted into place by a giant crane to its seat of honor next to the iconic ice rink at Rockefeller Plaza.

See more pictures of the tree's journey here

The tree, which weighs more than 12 tons, comes from the home of Jason Perrin in State College, Pennsylvania. It was cut down Thursday morning before a horde of camera-ready spectators.

It is the 86th to grace the Plaza for the annual weeks-long display and the third from Pennsylvania.

Erika Pauze, the head gardener for Rockefeller Center, said Thursday that she saw this year's tree while driving nearly seven years ago and was quick to ask if the owner was interested in making his backyard evergreen the most famous Christmas tree in the world.

"It's hard to find a tree that's nice and full that doesn't have any storm damage or is growing crooked or anything," she said.

After being adorned with more than 50,000 multi-colored lights and crowned with the iconic Swarovski star, the tree will be illuminated for the first time during a live television broadcast on Wednesday, Nov. 29.

It'll be on display until Jan. 7, 2018.

Last year's tree, a 94-foot Norway spruce from Angie and Graig Eichler in Oneonta, was the second largest ever chosen for the holiday celebration.

The first Rockefeller Center Christmas tree was put up in 1931 by workers building the complex during the Great Depression. The first official tree lighting was in 1933.

After the holiday season, the Rockefeller trees are cut into boards and donated to Habitat for Humanity
