A power outage caused sewage to spill in a creek in Gloucester Township, New Jersey, officials said.

A Camden County Municipal Utility Authority (CCMUA) pump station next to Big Timber Creek on Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Township lost power from electrical provider PSE&G around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The power loss created a backup in the station, causing sanitary water to spill into the Big Timber Creek.

Power was restored after about 90 minutes and the overflow was stopped and contained. The Chews Landing Fire Department then helped flush the system and the CCMUA restored it to proper working order.

Officials are warning the public to not swim, drink, fish or eat fish out of the Big Timber Creek or its tributaries for the next 24 hours. The CCMUA, Camden County Health Department and the state Department of Environmental Protection will monitor the waterways for the next several weeks.

Here are the 10 things you need to know to start your day from your friends at NBC10.

TODAY'S TOP STORY

Cosby Team Declares Victory, DA Vows New Case After Mistrial: Bill Cosby's trial on sexual assault charges ended in a mistrial Saturday after jurors failed to reach a unanimous decision in a case that nevertheless helped destroy the 79-year-old comedian's image as "America's Dad.” Prosecutors vowed to try again, declaring the woman who accuses Cosby of drugging and molesting her at his Philadelphia-area home in 2004 is "entitled to a verdict.” The jury deliberated more than 52 hours over six days before telling a judge they couldn't agree on whether "The Cosby Show" star sexually violated Temple University employee Andrea Constand after giving her pills that left her woozy and unable to say no or fight back. The judge then declared a mistrial. Cosby's team declared victory and went on the attack. Cosby himself didn't comment. He remained stoic as the judge declared a mistrial, while Constand doled out hugs to her mother, prosecutors and some of the other women who say the TV star drugged and abused them. District Attorney Kevin Steele said he's disappointed the jury was unable to agree on the charges, but vowed to put Cosby on trial again.

Delco Wawa Robbed at Gunpoint on Consecutive Nights

A Delaware County Wawa was hit with attempted armed robberies on consecutive nights by a similarly described perpetrator.

The male subject entered the Wawa just before 10 pm on June 17 and made a purchase at the register. He then proceeded to display a handgun and demand money from the register. However, according to police reports, he did not obtain anything before fleeing on foot.

In the evening the next day, the man appeared in the same clothing with a different hat and approached the register to make a purchase once again. This time, after revealing his handgun and demanding money, he was able to flee the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Pennsylvania State Police are describing the man on both instances as a 5-foot, 8-inch to 6-foot tall male wearing all black clothing. The Stoneybank Wawa in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania was able to capture surveillance images of the suspect on both occasions.

While it is not confirmed to be the same person, the pictures taken from store cameras lead police to believe that this is not a coincidence.

Anyone with information regarding either attempt is urged to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Unit at 484-840-1000.
