A woman is fighting for her life after police say she was found unconscious in a park in the Cobbs Creek section of the city.

Police say the woman was found in a wooded area Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. in Cobbs Creek Park near Hazel Avenue. A source close to the investigation says a passerby found the woman, who was only partially clothed.

Police say the woman was indecently assaulted by an unknown suspect. She was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she is currently listed in critical condition.

No arrests have been made at this time. At this point, the woman is physically unable to talk and provide information for detectives, according to sources close to the investigation.

"I'm appalled," said Traci Alexander of Lansdowne. "I'm shocked. There's just so many people in this area. I'm shocked nobody saw anything. People are walking up and down here all day long."

If you have any information on this incident, please call Philadelphia Police.
