Police responded to a Philadelphia Catholic school just after midnight Wednesday to find a racial slur spray painted across the doors of the building.
Authorities said they found the slur on the property of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School, located at 311 N. 19th St. in the city's Spring Garden neighborhood, around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
A maintenance worker removed the graffiti shortly after it was discovered.
"We were here late last night and it wasn't here, so it had to happen after 10 o'clock," said Phil Moyer, a school employee, who added nothing like this has happened at the school previously.
Police are reviewing footage from security cameras in the area as part of the investigation.
