A tractor-trailer hauling eggs crashed over a barricade causing traffic woes in both directions of a Philadelphia highway.
The big rig wrecked on the Schuylkill Expressway (Interstate 76) westbound right past the ramp from the Roosevelt Boulevard in the Wynnefield Heights section of the city around 1 a.m.
The tractor-trailer tipped over spilling eggs onto the highway. It also dangled over the City Avenue (route 1) ramp for eastbound traffic causing crews to close that ramp as well.
The driver walked away from the crash and was taken to Temple University Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
It took more than five hours to cleanup the wreck, which blocked traffic especially along Route 1 southbound.
