Police need the public’s help Monday to identify a father accused of clocking a customer inside a Delaware County Wawa store because he thought the victim was focusing on daddy’s little girl rather than focusing on ordering his hoagie.
Upper Darby Police told NBC10 that the 47-year-old victim was ordering a hoagie from the digital kiosk inside the store on 69th Street near Patterson Avenue around 5:20 p.m. when the suspect approached him and accused him of checking out his daughter.
Police say the dad then cold-cocked the victim for allegedly dishonoring his daughter.
The attack left the victim hospitalized with a possible concussion and a cut to his head, according to Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood.
After the attack the man and his daughter got into a four-door sedan and drove off, according to investigators.
Upper Darby Police tweeted a photo of the duo Monday in hopes that someone recognizes the daddy and/or his daughter. Investigators ask anyone with information to call 610-734-7693 or direct message @UDPolice.
