Two people were airlifted to local hospitals after the boat they were traveling on crashed into land in Cape May County Saturday night.
The boat was moving at a high speed along the Tuckahoe River near Middletown Road in Upper Township around 8:30 p.m. when it hit land, according to officials.
A man and two women were on board when the accident occurred.
The man and one of the women were airlifted to the trauma center at AtlanticCare Medical Center in Atlantic City, while the third occupant was transported to Shore Medical Center in Somers Point for precautionary measures, according to New Jersey State Police.
Authorities have not released a cause for the crash and an investigation is underway.
