A man is fighting for his life after a shooting in the Frankford section of the city.
Police say a 34-year-old man was in an alley behind his home on the 5000 block of Valley Street shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday when an unidentified gunman opened fire.
The man was struck once in the face and once in the leg. He ran to his home where he collapsed in front of his wife. Investigators say the wife then took him to the hospital and notified police.
The victim is currently in critical condition. Police have not yet released a description of the suspect.
