Buses full of students were turned away from a South Jersey middle school this morning because of a suspected gas leak.

Gloucester Township Police said that crews investigated a natural gas odor at Ann A Mullen Middle School on Sicklerville Road in Sicklerville, N.J. around 7 a.m. Monday.

Students were on their way to the school when the gas leak was reported. The fumes appeared to be coming from the building's boiler room and South Jersey Gas Company was called in to investigate, according to police.

Police said buses were turned around and that students were taken to nearby Timber Creek High School during the evacuation, according to police.

There were no reports of any injuries.

As SkyForce10 hovered overhead, police cars and fire trucks could be seen responding to the school.

Around 8:45 a.m., the area was deemed safe and kids began to return to the Gloucester Township School District middle school.

Classes resumed at the middle school around 9:40 a.m.

Mullen Middle is the same school where a student reported that a man tried to pick her up as she headed to school last month.
