An off-duty Philadelphia Police officer and bartender have been stabbed outside a downtown bar.
The stabbing took place around 11 p.m. outside The Venture Inn along the 200 block of S. Camac Street in the Gayborhood section of the city, police said.
Police tell NBC10.com the 49-year-old male officer was stabbed twice in the chest and once in the leg. He is a 19-year veteran of the force.
The bartender was stabbed in the chin, police said.
Both the officer and bartender were taken to nearby Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. The officer remains in the hospital in stable condition, police say. The bartender has since been released.
Police say the doer is still on the loose. A description was not immediately available.
