Three people, including a state trooper, are recovering after an accident on the Garden State Parkway.
Investigators say an NJ State Trooper pulled over a Nissan with two women inside in the northbound lanes of the parkway at mile-marker 65 in Stafford Township, New Jersey on Sunday around 8:30 a.m.
As the officer was talking to the driver, investigators say another car with two men inside struck the police cruiser, causing the cruiser to strike the Nissan.
The officer suffered a minor head injury but is expected to be okay. Both men inside the striking vehicle were also injured though police have not yet revealed their conditions.
The women inside the Nissan were not hurt.
Police say the male driver was under the influence at the time. He will be charged with DUI.
