A gas leak forces more than a dozen Philadelphia residents from their homes Saturday.
Fumes were detected inside a home on the 3300 block of I Street in the city's Kensington neighborhood, according to officials.
The main pipe that runs along the street cracked, according to a Philadelphia Gas Works spokeswoman.
The leak caused authorities to evacuate five houses on the block, displacing 15 people while crews work to fix the problem.
Stuck outside in the cold, one family of three decided to sit it out on a SEPTA bus.
The Salvation Army is assisting the residents while they wait to return to their homes.
PGW officials are unsure what caused the pipe to crack.
