Lengthy delays on public transit and heavy snowfall caused a rumor that SEPTA would shutdown its operations Tuesday afternoon. But officials say SEPTA will continue to operate, albeit with adjustments, during the storm.
As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, the Route 35 bus remained suspended. All regional rail lines and trolleys are operating, some lines are experiencing delays. SEPTA passengers experienced long delays Tuesday as a snowstorm blanketed the Philadelphia region. The early release of many employees pushed Tuesday's rush hour to start at noon, when most trains werel running less frequently.
The high volume combined with the weather conditions caused some train delays Tuesday and by evening all regional rail lines were operating with delays of up to 60 minutes.
Customized Community Transportation, which provides paratransit service, will be running Wednesday.
