A deadly crash where a car flipped multiple times closed a major roadway early this morning.
The wreck closed the Blue Route (I-476) southbound around Exit 13 (Route 30 - Saint Davids/Villanova) around 2:30 a.m.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle as it flipped, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Medics declared the driver dead at the scene.
The person's identity is pending family notification.
Drivers trying to get past the crash scene were sent off the Blue Route at Exit 13, past the crash scene and back onto highway on the on ramp. Police suggested drivers avoid the scene as the morning rush began.
After more than five hours. the roadway reopened.
Police said it appeared no other cars were involved in the wreck. The exact cause of the crash remained under investigation Friday morning.
