The School District of Philadelphia announced the closing of dozens of schools due to a major water main break in Northeast Philadelphia.
Due to a water main break near Frankford and Torresdale Avenues The School District of Philadelphia will have to close several schools affected by the lack of water pressure. The following schools will close at 11:30 a.m.:

Special Needs Students
Special needs students who receive transportation services will be dropped off at a SDP receiving center if there is no parent/guardian or a responsible adult available to receive him/her at the time of the drop off. Information will be left at the drop-off location with instructions about which center to call for pick-up arrangements. The receiving centers are listed below:
