A suburban Philadelphia criminal defense attorney is charged with selling prescription painkillers to an undercover police officer twice in the last month.
Police allege 53-year-old Gregory Noonan of Lansdale sold the undercover officer nearly 400 oxycodone pills at $15 apiece while sitting in his Jaguar parked outside his Norristown law office.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said Noonan was charged Thursday with multiple drug-related counts, including a charge of selling drugs within 1,000 feet of an elementary school.
Prosecutors said Noonan was being held at the county prison after failing to post $250,000 cash bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 3.
Noonan recently represented a doctor who was charged with prescribing Oxycodone to drug addicts and related crimes. The doctor was found guilty on Nov. 22.
