Someone stabbed an elderly man inside his home Tuesday morning then made off with the man’s car, according to police in South Jersey.
Egg Harbor Township Police responded to Pennsylvania Drive in the Tower East Mobile Home Park in Cardiff just before 9 a.m.
They found 91-year-old Charles Sweetman suffering from a stab wound -- his 2011 four-door, gray Dodge Charger missing.
Medics treated Sweetman at the scene before transporting him to AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center City Campus Trauma Center. He was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
According to police, someone entered the man’s home, attacked him and took the keys to his car before making off with the Charger, which has New Jersey tag W31 CMW.
