A man is dead and another injured after an accident on I-95.

Police say a 67-year-old man from Boyertown was driving a 2008 Chrysler 300 Saturday around 4:30 a.m. on the right shoulder of I-95 southbound in Tinicum Township, Delaware County.

As he was driving, police say a 26-year-old man from Broomall was driving a 2013 BMW 335i in the left lane on I-95 south. As the 26-year-old man tried to turn at a right curve, police say his vehicle began to spin out of control. The BMW traveled across the southbound lanes to the right and struck the rear driver side of the Chrysler. The BMW then rolled over before coming to a final stop, landing on its roof in a grassy area north on the highway.

Police say the impact caused the Chrysler to veer off the road until it finally stopped in another grassy area near the highway.

The 26-year-old man was extricated from the BMW. He was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical center where he is currently in critical condition. The 67-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Only one lane was getting by on I-95 southbound mile marker 10.5 due to the crash Saturday morning. All lanes are now open again.
