Police are investigating a triple shooting in the Kensington section of the city that killed one man and critically injured two others.
Police say three men were on the 3300 block of Jasper Street shortly before 4 p.m. on Sunday when an unidentified gunman opened fire before fleeing the scene.
One man was struck once in the head and neck area. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:06 p.m. Another man was struck three times in the back while a 29-year-old man was struck once in the head.
The two surviving victims were taken to Temple University Hospital where they are both in critical condition.
No arrests have been made. Police have not yet revealed the identities of the victims or any information on the suspect. Investigators say the shooting may have been drug-related however.
"We did find a small amount of narcotics," said Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small. "And we did find some narcotics paraphernalia. So it is a possibility that this is a drug-related shooting."
Police also say it appears a semi-automatic handgun was used in the shooting.
