Officials are investigating a train accident that killed a man and injured a woman in Trenton.
Officials say an NJ Transit train was traveling northbound on the River Line shortly before 6 p.m. when it struck a car that somehow got stuck on the tracks at Lalor Street and Route 129.
The driver of the car, an adult male, was killed in the crash while a female passenger was injured and taken to the hospital. Officials have not yet revealed her condition.
Officials say 28 passengers were on the train at the time of the accident. None of them were injured however.
Officials continue to investigate the cause of the accident. They do say however that the crossing gates were in the down position at the time of the crash.
