The chilly temperatures are not stopping die-hard “sneakerheads” from camping out in Philadelphia to get their hands on a pair of $650 sneakers.

The limited-edition Air Jordan 2 Retro “Just Don” sneakers go on sale Saturday at 8 a.m.

The sneakers cost $650 for an adult pair and $350 for a kid’s pair.

One “sneakerhead” started his camp-out at 8 a.m. Friday outside the UBIQ store on Walnut Street in Philadelphia.

“I need these because they limited, very limited, only certain cities got them. I need ‘em,” Bigavel Mel, of Atlantic City, said.

One man came from Connecticut for the chance to own a pair.

“I wanna wear them. I wanna have them and potentially sell them in the future because they’ll be worth more if I try to sell them than retail. They’ll be worth probably double than the retail price,” Colin MacLennan said.

The temperatures Saturday morning were in the low 20s.

A “sneakerhead” is someone who collects, trades and has a passion for sneakers.

A memorial was held Saturday for a pregnant teen who died after shoveling snow outside her Montgomery County home during the blizzard.

A candlelight vigil took place Saturday around 5 p.m. for 18-year-old Briahna Gerloff in Pottstown.

A family member told NBC10 Gerloff collapsed after shoveling snow outside her Pottstown home during the blizzard on January 23.

Family members said Gerloff was eight months pregnant and suffered from several heart defects, including Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW), a disorder caused by an abnormal accessory electrical conduction pathway between the atria and the ventricles.

Her unborn baby girl, whom she named Kayliana, also did not survive.

"She was so excited to be a mom," said Briahna's aunt Margaret Greiss. "She had everything. She looked forward every single day to wake up just to feel Kayliana kick."

Police have not yet determined a cause of death. Authorities have not linked her death to shoveling.

The investigation is ongoing.

More than two dozen African American ministers pledged their support for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton after meeting with her in Philadelphia Wednesday.

On Wednesday Clinton visited Mother Bethel A.M.E. church in Society Hill where she spoke with African American ministers from across the country. Clinton discussed criminal justice reform, jobs, equal pay and women’s health with the ministers. She also told them, “I want to be your partner, not just your president.”

NBC News reports 28 of the 50 clergy members Clinton met with pledged their support for her, including Mother Bethel’s revered Mark Kelly Tyler.

“I’m not saying that I’m voting for her just because she’s a woman but I’m certainly voting for her because she’s qualified, she’s capable, she’s ready to lead and the fact that she’s a woman is a plus,” Reverend Tyler said. “We need to diversify our country.”

During her discussion Wednesday, Clinton spoke about the water emergency in Flint, Michigan which compelled several members at the meeting to endorse her, according to NBC News.

"She brought attention to the crisis in Flint, demanded action, and expressed her intent to bring to light the other Flints that occur in our country all too often," Maryland Rev. Zina Pierre said. "She is qualified and equipped to do the job and represent all Americans regardless of religion or color."

WATCH: Good Samaritans Capture Armed Robber: Police

An armed robbery suspect and a registered sex offender is in custody thanks to a group of good Samaritans who subdued him until police arrived, according to investigators.

The ordeal began Saturday at the Queen Anne Plaza Shopping Center on S. Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills, a suburb about 16 miles northeast of Philadelphia. A 53-year-old woman was outside the Credit Union at the shopping center and grabbed her purse from her car. Suddenly a man armed with a box cutter, later identified as 60-year-old George Blackwell, approached her and tried to steal her purse and wallet, police said.

After Blackwell grabbed her wallet, the woman screamed and fought him off, according to investigators. Police said he then fled on foot and ran across the plaza, throwing the wallet away, but was chased down by three bystanders who witnessed the attack. The bystanders then knocked Blackwell into a pile of snow.

"These guys were big," said Ron Roberts, who recorded the incident with his cellphone as the men held Blackwell down until police arrived. "They threw him over the snow and they had his head in the snow. They weren't letting him get up. They made sure he was going to jail today.

Blackwell, of Falls Township, was arrested and charged with robbery. He is currently being held in the Bucks County Prison on $100,000 bail. Police also confirmed Blackwell is a registered sex offender.

Police say the woman suffered a minor cut to her lip during the incident but was not seriously hurt.

Woman Cares for Her Slain Brother's Wounded Dog

$

A Philadelphia woman who is dealing with a tremendous loss gained a new companion; the dog who tried to protect her brother during a deadly home invasion.

Nakia Pyatt, 41, was shot and killed back on January 16 by armed robbers during a home invasion in the Frankford section of the city. Pyatt’s dog Rhino, a 7-month-old boxer-pit bull mix, tried to defend his owner but was shot in the leg in the process. Rhino was taken to the Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center(VSEC) in Philadelphia where officials determined he had a bullet in a hind leg and another object, either a bullet or fragment, lodged nearby.

Pyatt’s sister, Ivory Poinsett, a mother of three, said her brother had suggested that she take in Rhino in order to protect her family. At the time Poinsett didn’t want to take the dog in. That changed however after her brother’s death.

“We know how much my brother loved his dog,” Poinsett said. “Everywhere my brother went, the dog went. He would have wanted me to have the dog.”

Poinsett created a GoFundMe to help with Rhino’s medical care. She ultimately reached her goal of $2800. Dr. Ron Ben-Amotz of VSEC said the bullet was lodged in soft tissue in Rhino’s leg.

“He’s putting weight on it and getting around well. He’s wagging his tail and looking pretty happy,” Dr. Ben-Amotz said.

While Rhino’s recovery has gone well, he’ll still need further checkups to determine whether he’ll need surgery. Rhino was still healthy enough however to leave VSEC and stay with Poinsett and her family. It was a much-needed happy moment for a woman who continues to deal with her brother’s unsolved murder.

“It’s been a horrible month,” Poinsett said. “But Rhino’s been giving us all peace so I’m kind of happy that the doctors are clearing him and he’s normal again. I mean he still has the bullets embedded in him but he’s still a happy big boy.”

For Poinsett, Rhino is more than just a dog but a way for her to keep her brother’s legacy alive.

“My brother always said he would be there for us,” Poinsett said. “So when Rhino survived I felt that he had left him behind to watch over us and give us peace.”

No arrests have been made in Pyatt’s death. Police continue to investigate.
