Salvaging a home from the muck and water off Grassy Sound takes a little precision and a lot of heft. The view from SkyForce10 looked like the house had just been lassoed as contractors prepared to haul it off to the Cape May County landfill. The home washed into the bay during a storm earlier this month. The owner and state have been fighting over who's responsible for getting the debris out of the water. The state decided to hire a contractor and determine later whether to recoup the cost from the homeowner. The state's expecting a bill between $150-$170K.

Main Line Chinese Restaurant to Reopen After Roaches

A popular Main Line Chinese restaurant will reopen at lunchtime Wednesday after a serious roach infestation shut the eatery down for two months.

Yangming, a longtime Bryn Mawr stalwart that was in 2011 named a "best Chinese restaurant" by Chinese Restaurant News, gave a tour of its newly renovated space on Tuesday.

Authorities shuttered the restaurant in August when Yangming employees called police over a customer dispute after a patron was served noodles with a roach in them not once, but twice, according to officials. When police arrived for the dispute, "there were roaches that were in plain sight" in the restaurant, Radnor Police Lt. Andy Block said at the time.

Radnor Township health officials immediately closed Yangming indefinitely and posted a health citation in the front window that listed "Gross Facility & Equipment Sanitation" and "Insect/Rodent Infestation" as reasons for the closure.

The next day, police could be seen removing roaches from the restaurant in plastic bags.

Yangming's general manager on Tuesday blamed the insect problem on an old building and a pest-control company that didn't properly do its job. When NBC10 asked the name of the pest company, however, he said he didn't recall it.

Since the closure, Yangming has undergone extensive renovations including updating and cleaning kitchen equipment, food storage areas and refrigerators, said a news release from the eatery. Diners will also see new flooring, furniture and interior fixtures. the restaurant said it also updated its exterior and landscaping.

It's a far cry from the unsanitary conditions that caused the closure.

"What we found today was deplorable, so imagine what it looked like five days ago when it's still deplorable -- we're pulling out roaches and expired food," Radnor Police Chief William Colarulo said after the closure.

The restaurant said they already made tens of thousands of dollars of repairs to their out-of-date HVAC and exhaust systems, to the electrical and plumbing systems, to remove and clean equipment and also made improvements to meet fire regulations.

The eatery also began offering gift cards including a recent raffle at a weekend 5K run.

No criminal charges were filed in the case and Yangming apologized for the conditions.

The eatery has passed health inspections and will again open for lunch and dinner starting Wednesday.

Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease Sickens 19 NJ Students: Officials

Nearly two dozen Princeton University students have been diagnosed with hand, foot and mouth disease, a contagious viral illness most commonly seen in children younger than age 5, over the last month, a spokesman for the college said.

Spokesman Martin Mbugua said 19 students have been treated for the illness at the university's McCosh Health Center since Sept. 17. Last academic year, only one case of the disease was reported, according to the Daily Princetonian.

Hand, foot and mouth disease is spread through close personal contact and can be transmitted through the air via coughing or sneezing. It can also be transmitted through contact with contaminated objects and surfaces or contact with feces.

Symptoms include fever, sore throat, reduce appetite and a general feeling of being unwell. One or two days after a fever begins, painful sores may develop in the mouth, often starting as small red spots that blister and can become ulcers, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The sores can make it difficult for people to swallow, which may lead to dehydration.

A skin rash with red spots on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet may also develop. The incubation period for the disease is three to seven days, according to health officials.

In very rare cases, hand, foot and mouth disease can lead to meningitis or encephalitis, according to the CDC.

The illness is treated using over-the-counter medications to relieve pain and fever. Mouthwashes and sprays can help numb mouth pain. Most patients typically recover within seven to 10 days.

There is no vaccine to prevent the disease. Individuals can lower their risk of infection by washing their hands often with soap and water, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces and soiled items and avoiding close contact with people who have the disease.

Parents of Wandering Child Can't Get Him Back

After a night of being overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers, Philadelphia parents found out they cannot get their little boy back. Or their daughter. At least not yet.

DHS took custody of the children after the 2-year-old boy was found wandering in LOVE park late Friday, barefoot. The toddler was found by a SEPTA officer and taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Soon after, his parents called police to report he was missing.

Parents Angelique Roland, 27, and Michael Jones, 24, explained to police they'd been sleeping in the park that night because they were homeless. In order to regain custody of their children, the parents now have to show a Family Court judge they're stable enough to take good care of both kids and meet their basic needs. During their first hearing Tuesday, the judge decided the kids should not be returned to their parents yet, but Roland and Jones will be able to visit them twice a week. Their daughter is 4.

The homeless family's story inspired many offers of help. The support group, Chosen 300 Ministries, organized a benefit Monday night for the family and raised more than $12,000 to help them pay for a year of housing.

An Eagles fan punching a Giants fan?

Not totally unexpected in the land of ill-behaved sports fans. Check out the cellphone video above.

You can hear a little trash talking but it's hard to make out who's saying what. Then the Eagles fan punches the Giants fan right in the face. And right in front of a girl you can hear pleading, 'Stop!"

SEPTA police believe the assault happened at the 69th Street Terminal. They haven't found any witnesses or surveillance video of their own yet, but the cellphone video was enough to prompt an investigation.

The Eagles beat the Giants during Monday Night Football. Final score: 27-7.
