It was a busy weekend for the U.S. Coast Guard as they performed three separate rescues off the Jersey Shore.

A boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May towed a disabled sailboat with one person on board to safety Saturday after it broke down. The crew used a 45-foot response boat to tow the sailboat while a Freeze Warning was in effect for the area.

Also on Saturday, a helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City rescued two fishermen who were onboard a 23-foot boat that was stuck in shallow waters off Brigantine. The rescue crew went out around 11 p.m. and hoisted the two men, who were suffering from mild hypothermia, to safety shortly after midnight Sunday.

Finally, a boat crew from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City responded to a report of a disabled sailboat 21 miles offshore from Atlantic City with a man and a cat on board. The man fell overboard but managed to get back on the boat before the rescue crew arrived. The 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew arrived and brought the man and cat aboard. An Air Station Atlantic City helicopter diverted from a training flight to hoist the man and transfer him to EMS personnel.

The U.S. Coast Guard released videos of all three rescues.

Police are searching for two Philadelphia men who they say shot and killed a man and a teen girl during a home invasion in Delaware.

Saleem Shabazz, 21, and Matthew Harrington, 23, both of Philadelphia, allegedly entered a home on the 1400 block of John Clark Road in Dover Saturday around 1:30 a.m. A woman told police her father, later identified as Clifton Leager, 52, who lived inside the home, was shot by one of the suspects during a struggle. Police say Leager’s son, who was inside the home at the time, was also shot during the altercation but managed to chase after the two men when they fled the scene.

During the chase, more shots were fired and a teen girl, identified as 18-year-old Haley Henwood of Philadelphia, was struck. Leager was pronounced dead at the scene. Henwood was taken to the hospital where she was also pronounced dead. Leager’s son was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Both Shabazz and Harrington are considered armed and dangerous. Shabazz is described as a slim black male standing 6-feet and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and was armed with an unknown type of handgun.

Harrington is described as a slim white male standing between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-10 weighing 150 pounds. He was also last seen wearing dark clothing and armed with an unknown type of handgun.

The suspects’ vehicle is described as a 4-door dark-colored SUV.

Both men are wanted for murder, attempted robbery and other related offenses.

Police are searching for a driver who crashed into a Delaware business owner’s fleet of vehicles, causing more than $100,000 in damage, before fleeing the scene.

Witnesses say a man was driving a pickup truck about 70 miles per hour Sunday around 2:30 a.m. in Newark, Delaware when he lost control and slammed into four vehicles parked outside Honesty Services Plumbing on Ilse Drive.

“A loud bang, sounded like an explosion almost,” said Dan Holman, owner of Honesty Services as well as the vehicles. “[I saw] a disaster in my driveway. As you can see he pushed the vehicles probably eight to ten feet.”

The pickup truck completely destroyed two of Holman’s vehicles and severely damaged a third as well as a rental car. Witnesses say the pickup truck then fled the scene. They also believe the driver was drunk.

The hit-and-run vehicle was likely a dark Ford F-250 with orange running lights and serious front end damage, according to witnesses. Holman is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information on the driver’s identity and location.

If you have any information on the crash, please call Honesty Plumbing at 302-690-2433.

A Philadelphia ministry is lending a helping hand to the homeless family of a toddler who was found wandering barefoot in LOVE Park.

CHOSEN 300 announced a $12,000 campaign to provide housing for one year for the parents of a 2-year-old boy who was found by passerby Friday around 11:50 p.m.

Witnesses flagged down police after they found the boy who was wearing a green long-sleeve shirt, black running pants and a diaper but no shoes or socks, according to police.

The officers took the little boy, whom was reportedly scared and upset when he was found, to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to be checked out.

Shortly after the child was found, his parents, a 27-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, called police to report that he was missing, investigators said. The parents said they had been kicked out of a home where they were staying Friday and spent the night in LOVE Park, according to officials. The boy wandered off after the parents fell asleep and they were still sleeping when the child was found, police said.

The 2-year-old boy as well as his 4-year-old sister were both placed in DHS custody. No charges have been filed but the investigation is ongoing.

On Sunday, CHOSEN 300 an inter-denominational ministry which has distributed more than 150,000 meals a year to the homeless in Center City, West Philadelphia and Pottstown, announced their plan to help the boy and his family.

"CHOSEN 300 has launched a campaign to raise $12,000 IN 12 DAYS to secure housing for this family for 1-year.  In addition, our staff will be working with the family to provide case management, money management and social services to move them toward self-sufficiency," a spokesperson wrote in a press release. "We know this family as they have come to our mission often to receive meals. We have witnessed their love and care for their two children, but have fallen on hard times."

The spokesperson stated Wawa is scheduled to meet with the ministry to present a $3000 check in order to help them offset financial obligations of serving the homeless during the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia last month. The presentation will take place Monday at 6 p.m. in West Philadelphia. Brian Jenkins, the Executive Director of CHOSEN 300, asked Wawa to allow the ministry to re-allocate $1,000 of the grant towards their $12,000 goal for the homeless family, according to the spokesperson.

A quick-acting neighbor with a garden hose prevented a couple of sport utility vehicles from going up in flames after someone lit rags hanging from the gas tanks on fire.

A suspect put rags with accelerant on them in two SUVS parked along Janney Street near E Tioga Street in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond around 3:15 a.m. Monday then lit the rags, said Philadelphia Police.

A neighbor heard the commotion and ran outside to see the fires. That neighbor then grabbed a garden hose and doused the flames before the entire vehicles caught fire.

Luckily no one was hurt and the damage to each SUV was contained.

Fire officials investigated to determine a cause.

Register Your Drone: Government to Require DOT Registration

The federal government wants people who buy drones to start registering the aircraft.

New rules set to be announced Monday call for drone owners to register the aircraft with the Department of Transportation, NBC News reported. The decision comes after hundreds of drones have been spotted near major airports.

The uncertainty of drones is one reason the federal government will soon require anyone buying a drone to register it.

"I don't want other people to know I have this one, and where I fly it, and how long I fly it," photographer Yichen Guo told NBC Bay Area.

But government officials said regulations are needed. The Federal Aviation Authority currently receives 100 reports each month from pilots who spot drones flying near their planes or around major airports.

An overnight fire in rural Bucks County claimed the lives of several chickens and two horses.

A small barn housing the chickens and horses on Saw Mill Road near Sugan Road, in New Hope, became engulfed in flames overnight, officials said. Firefighters were called to the scene at 3:46 a.m., according to the Bucks County Fire Marshal. When they arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were able to douse the flames, but the animals inside did not survive, officials said. The cause of the fire was under investigation Monday, but fire officials said they may not be able to determine a cause because the flames fully consumed the building, destroying it.

Vice President Joe Biden is expected to decide whether to enter the 2016 presidential race within the next 48 hours or sooner, two sources told NBC News Monday.

Biden has been considering a run for months and has blown past several self-imposed deadlines. His public schedule on Monday offered little indication of his decision. He traveled from his home in Delaware to Washington where he will address a climate change summit Monday afternoon.

In a signal that he is considering running, Biden spoke with International Association of Fire Fighters President Harold Schaitberger on Friday.

Meanwhile, Sen. Dick Durbin said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Monday he's not sure Joe Biden could win the Democratic presidential nomination if he enters the race now.

Asked whether Biden could win the nomination by jumping in now, Durbin said he was "not sure ... I would say at this point he has not had the starting structure" that Clinton has.

A customer wearing a gray fleece top used a tire iron to rob a Chester County pharmacy over the weekend.

The man, who also wore gray cargo shorts and a black baseball cap made a purchase at the counter of the CVS along Lancaster Avenue (U.S. Route 30) in Paoli, Pennsylvania around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, said Tredyffrin Township Police.

Once the worker opened the register, the customer turned into a thief, produced a tire iron and demanded money, said police.

The man took the cash then fled the scene in a car, possibly eastbound on Lancaster Avenue, said police.

“We are asking the public’s assistance in identifying this individual,” Tredyffrin Township Police Superintendent Anthony Giaimo.

Anyone with information is asked to call 610-644-3221.

What's Philly's Pope Visit Tab?

Wondering what the final tab for the Pope's whirlwind two-day visit to Philadelphia was?

The city should know by next month, officials say. Per the city's contract with the World Meeting of Families, which was the event host for the papal visit, the city will send an invoice to the World Meeting by Nov. 1, according to the City Controller's Office.

From there, the World Meeting of Families has 30 days to pay up, a spokesman for the Controller's Office said. Ahead of Pope Francis' visit, the city estimated costs at roughly $12 million, including nearly $5 million for police and almost $4 million for the fire department, including emergency medical services.

Mayoral spokesman Mark McDonald told NBC10 it's too soon to tell whether that $12 million estimate was on point, but that the city had hoped for the final bill to come in lower than that.

He said post-papal cleanups, aside from some landscaping work that will likely be done in the spring, are mostly complete as far as his office knows.

He said the city expects the biggest papal visit expense to be for police.

McDonald also said that several city departments involved with the papal visit are working on an "after-action review" on the visit that will generate an internal report sometime in November.

"The various departments are looking at what happened, what didn't happen, what went right, what didn't go right, that sort of thing," McDonald said.

He said he expects the city will be able to share results of that internal review next month.
