An Amtrak train carrying more than 300 passengers from New York to Philadelphia was halted Saturday morning after authorities say the train struck and killed a trespasser on the tracks in Bucks County.

Amtrak Keystone Service train 663 was Philadelphia-bound about 10:15 a.m. as it passed through the SEPTA Regional Rail station at Levittown-Tullytown, off of Bristol Pike and Fallsington Avenue in Levittown, when it struck the trespasser, Amtrak spokesman Craig Schulz said. The unidentified trespasser died, and the train, which was carrying 304 passengers, was stopped while authorities conducted an investigation.

The train's passengers were transferred to a SEPTA train about 1 p.m. and continued on to 30th Street Station as the Amtrak train remained at the scene while authorities investigated the death, Schulz said.

SEPTA officials said service between Croydon Station and Trenton Transportation Center that had been suspended as a result of the investigation resumed about noon, but trains still could not make stops at Levittown Station due to Amtrak police's investigation.

No injuries to crew members or passengers on the Amtrak train were reported.

As police continue to investigate the horrific car crash that claimed the lives of two teenage girls and a young man in Northeast Philadelphia, friends and relatives of the young victims planned to hold a vigil in their honor Saturday night.

Sabrina Rhoads, 17, who would have started her senior year at George Washington High School in September, and her friend, 17-year-old Yvette Gonzalez both died at the scene of the Wednesday night crash, on Sandmeyer Lane near Red Lion Road in Bustleton. Felip Hernandez, 20, of Medford, New Jersey, also died at the scene, and 17-year-old Bagdon Arutyunov was ejected from the car and suffered severe head trauma.

Arutyunov remained in critical at Jefferson University Hospital Saturday  morning, and police reported no updates in the investigation into the crash.

The victims were to be memorialized at the scene of the crash at an 8 p.m. vigil Saturday night.

The driver of the Acura, which police have said was traveling more than 75 mph on the dead-end street when it failed to negotiate a turn and struck a tree, showed up to Albert Einstein Medical Center hours after the crash. That man has been identified as Christopher Bloomfield.

Police have urged people in another car seen in surveillance video traveling at a high rate of speed near the Acura at the time of the crash to come forward. Investigators said it was unclear whether the cars had been racing at the time of the crash.

"The people in the other vehicle, we'd like to talk to them, because they could provide a lot of information on what happened prior to the crash," Accident Investigation Division Capt. John Wilczynski said during a news conference Thursday. "They have a responsibility to give information on what they saw."

Anyone with information in the fatal crash should call the Accident Investigation Division at 215-685-3180.

An investigation into the shooting death of a 32-year-old woman found in a car in Kensington early Saturday morning is underway.

At 5:18 a.m., officers were called to Rush Street near Frankford Avenue, where the victim was found in the driver's seat of a white 2014 Ford Escape. She was suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and torso, police said.

Medics pronounced the woman, whose name was being withheld Saturday pending family notification, dead at the scene at 5:35 a.m. Police said they did not know what motivated the shooting and had not made any arrests Saturday afternoon.

The deadly shooting happened about five blocks from the scene on Aramingo Avenue where a young mom was shot execution-style inside her home Thursday night, and less than a mile from where a man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon at Ormes and Cambria streets. A person arrested for driving under the influence in West Philadelphia early Saturday morning is suspected of hitting a 17-year-old boy, critically injuring him, and leaving the scene minutes before police pulled him over, authorities said Saturday afternoon.

Police said officers from West Philadelphia's 16th District, headquartered at 39th Street and Lancaster Avenue, pulled over a gold Buick LeSabre when they spotted the car driving recklessly with heavy windshield damage about 1:40 a.m. As they were investigating, the officers determined not only that the driver was under the influence, but also that the car matched the description of a vehicle wanted in a hit-and-run that had occurred minutes before at 57th Street and Westminster Avenue, police said.

The hit-and-run left a 17-year-old boy who had been crossing the street critically injured, police said. It happened less than 10 minutes before officers pulled over the Buick.

Police said the driver was arrested and charges are pending. They have not yet revealed the identity of the driver.

SEPTA Pope Pass Lottery Opens at Midnight

Beginning at midnight, you will have 24 hours to take a shot at getting a chance to ride SEPTA's Regional Rail to see Pope Francis in Philadelphia.

At 12:01 a.m. Monday, SEPTA will open a lottery for special one-day Regional Rail passes for the Pope's September visit.

The lottery will open at midnight on a Ticketleap page posted to SEPTA.org and continue until 11:59 Monday night.

FAQs: Buying Your Pope Pass

SEPTA's first attempt at selling the special Papal passes came to a screeching halt last month when the website crashed almost as son as the passes went on sale.

SEPTA's lottery system is an attempt to open sales to everyone without putting a huge burden on the system.

Officials said there's no rush to enter the lottery the minute it opens.

"There's no need to set your alarm clock for midnight and be standing beside your computer so you can log on to enter the lottery," said SEPTA spokeswoman Jerri Williams. "You can do it any time during the day."

Anyone who enters the lottery will have an equal chance of getting the $10 passes, which are station-specific, must be purchased for time windows (5:30 to 8:30 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. to noon) and are limited to 10 passes per person per day on Sept. 26 and 27.

Passengers with "winning entries" in the lottery will receive a "congratulations" email on Thursday, Aug. 6 with a personalized link that will allow them to complete the sale.

SEPTA plans to sell 175,000 of the $10 passes for each day (Sept. 26 and Sept. 27) that the Pontiff is in town. An analysis of the activity Monday showed 54,000 customers visited the e-commerce site within the first minute after it was launched, said SEPTA spokesman Andrew Busch.

During the Pope's visit, SEPTA will restrict Regional Rail service to 18 stations. Trains earlier in the day will be inbound express to Center City stations only, and trains later will be outbound express only to selected stations.

Police Identify Victim in Deadly Motorcycle Crash

The man who died Saturday night in a motorcycle crash in Delaware has been identified as a 33-year-old Warwick, Md. man.

Police on Sunday said that Nicholas E. Russo was riding a 2007 Honda CBR1000 motorcycle north on US-13 in the left lane just north of Marl Pit Road. Russo was among several other motorcycles, Delaware State Police said, and the bikes "began splitting cars that were traveling in the same direction by passing in between them."

As Russo tried to pass a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado on a narrow left shoulder, police said, the left side of the truck collided with the right side of his motorcycle, knocking him off the bike. Though Russo was wearing a proper helmet, police said, he flew into a guardrail and died at the scene.

The driver of the Colorado, identified by police as Michael P. Stradley, 31, of Newark, Del., was wearing a seatbelt and was able to bring his truck to a stop on the right shoulder. He was not injured, police said. No charges are expected.

The deadly crash closed a northbound stretch of US-13 for five hours as police investigated.

Kraft Recalls 36,000 Cases of Singles Cheese

Kraft is voluntarily recalling 36,000 cases of individually-wrapped cheese singles due to a potential choking hazard.

The recall covers 3-lb. and 4-lb. sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American products with a "best when used by" date that falls between December 29, 2015, and January 4, 2016, followed by the manufacturing code "S54" or "S55."

A strip of the film used to package the product may remain adhered to the slice after the wrapper has been removed, potentially causing a choking hazard for consumers, the company said.

Kraft has received 10 consumer complaints about the packaging, including three reports of consumers choking, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.

Those who purchased the product are encouraged to return it to the store where they bought it for an exchange or full refund. They can also call Kraft Heinz Consumer Relations for a full refund at 1-800-432-3101.

“The safety and quality of our products is our highest priority,” Kraft said in a statement. “We work every day to exceed your expectations and we sincerely apologize for this situation.”

Coast Guard Helicopter Rescues Man off Cape May

A Coast Guard helicopter crew rescued a man overboard off the coast of Cape May Saturday night, officials said.

About 10 p.m., officials said, the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay received a mayday call from a recreational vessel that a 45-year-old man was overboard about 44 miles east of Cape May.

The Coast Guard launched a C-130 "Hercules" aircraft from the Elizabeth City, N.C. Air Station and an MH-65 "Dolphin" helicopter from the Atlantic City Air Station, as well as a boat crew from the Cape May Coast Guard Station, for the rescue. They located the man -- who had been treading water for four hours -- and threw him a life preserver so he could get back onto his boat until the rescue crew could take him for medical help.

When the helicopter arrived, crews hoisted the man aboard and flew him to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for treatment.

"The incredible teamwork and coordination between multiple Coast Guard assets and the Maersk Wesport proved vital in locating and medevacing the survivor despite intense thunderstorms and darkness," said Tamara Whalen, a helicopter pilot who flew the case. "Each member was critical to insuring the safe return of the survivor to his family."
