As Wednesday morning wore on, some suspended mass transit services began to be restored in the wake of Tuesday evening's massive storms that pummeled the region.
PATCO service in South Jersey, though, remained completely suspended about 10 a.m. It is expected to remain stopped until at least mid-morning after the storm cut power to the transit system. Officials said PSE&G crews are working to restore power to the system.
NJ Transit is accepting PATCO Freedom Cards and tickets during the service interruption.
Service in some other areas began to be restored throughout the morning.
SEPTA bus routes 37, 109, 113, 114, 117, 118 and 119 resumed service to Chester Transportation Center. The center lost power as a result of the storms and was shut down earlier Wednesday morning.
On SEPTA Regional Rail, service was restored to the Fox Chase Line and the Paoli/Thorndale Line. Service remained suspended on the Media/Elwyn Line.
Other Regional Rail lines are running, but SEPTA said to expect up to15-minute delays.
On SEPTA's Norristown High Speed Line, service between Radnor and Norristown Transportation Center remained suspended. Service is operating every 15 minutes to Radnor Station only, according to SEPTA's website. Inbound passengers at Radnor were advised that they must board trains from the outbound platform.
Due to a power outage, Chester Transportation Center is out of service. Numerous bus lines are detoured due to downed trees and power outages.
SEPTA advised riders to check SEPTA.org for status updates.
Amtrak was expected to operate all scheduled service Wednesday, but officials said eastbound Keystone Service trains could expect delays of 30 to 45 minutes in the morning.
