A man grabbed a woman along a road in Fairmount Park and pushed her into a sedan against her will, said Philadelphia Police.

The abduction occurred shortly before 3 p.m. along Sedgely Drive, near Poplar Drive, said police.

After grabbing the unidentified woman, the suspect forced her into the back seat of a dark blue Pontiac Grand Prix, witnesses told investigators.

The man – who was wearing a white T-shirt and black skull cap -- then drove off toward Girard Avenue, said police. Investigators later focused their investigation on Girard Avenue near Brewery Hill Drive.

Circumstances around the incident remained unclear but police said it's possible the suspect and victim know each other. Anyone with information should contact Philadelphia Police.

Mourners Gather at Funeral for WSJ Reporter Who Went Missing

Mourners gathered Thursday morning at a funeral Mass for the Wall Street Journal reporter whose body was found in a New Jersey river earlier this month, more than a year after he went missing.

Services for David Bird were held at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church in Stirlin at 11 a.m.

Bird’s body was found in the Passaic River on March 17 about a mile from Hicks Tract Park, one of the energy market’s reporter’s favorite walking spots. The 55-year-old vanished on Jan. 11, 2014, after leaving his home in Millington for a walk.

His wife called police when he didn’t return two hours, and authorities fruitlessly searched the woods and waterways following the disappearance.

Thursday’s funeral comes as the Wall Street Journal raises money for Bird’s family.

An internal memo posted on the media blog JimRomensko.com says the paper will be making a $10,000 donation to a family trust. The Journal’s newsroom union has also contributed more than $4,000 to the family.

It remains unclear how Bird ended up in the river.

A trucker walked into a Delaware County Wawa and stuck his head under a women’s restroom stall as a woman used the toilet.

The incident played out around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon inside the Wawa along Conchester Highway (U.S. Route 322) in Aston, Pennsylvania, said Upper Chichester Township Police.

After sneaking his peek inside the clearly marked ladies’ room, the man left the store and got into a red tractor-trailer hailing an empty flatbed trailer -- with “Atlantic” written on the mud flaps and the No. 3793 on it -- then drove off westbound on Route 322.

The victim told a Wawa worker what happened and the employee contacted police. The victim told investigators she felt violated and wanted the man arrested.

Before the man got away, surveillance video captured his movements inside the store.

Police described the peeper as being in his 50s with thinning brown hair. He stands about 6-feet tall and weighs around 180 to 190 pounds. He wore a red flannel shirt, black jacket and blue jeans at the time of the incident, said police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact township police at 610-485-8181.

Before Yvonne Selke planted roots in Virginia, the woman who along with her daughter Emily was killed in the Germanwings plane crash, walked the halls of Springfield High School in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

"She was always kind to everybody. Very outgoing, just very outgoing," her former classmate, Carol Lamon, told NBC10 on Thursday.

"It's unbelievable," Lamon said. Yvonne Selke was a 1975 graduate of Springfield High and planned to attend her class' 40th reunion this fall.

The 58-year-old defense contractor and her 25-year-old daughter, a 2013 Drexel University graduate, were flying from Barcelona to Düsseldorf on Monday when their Airbus jet slammed into the French Alps. French prosecutors say the Germanwings co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz, barricaded himself in the cockpit and steered the plane into the mountainside. All 150 passengers and crew onboard were killed on impact. They could be heard screaming on the cockpit voice recorder before the collision, according to prosecutors.

The reason for the apparent murder remains unclear.

Back in Springfield, Yvonne's sister-in-law lives in the neighborhood where she grew up. Still grieving, the woman did not want to speak publicly.

But Yvonne's former classmates are honoring her with a tribute on the reunion's website. And they're sending condolences to the Selke family.

"Its gonna take a long time to heal ...," Lamon said.
