WATCH: Fire Breather Catches Fire

A Philadelphia couple captured a scary moment on camera when a performing artist suddenly caught fire.

Jeff Hurd and his wife Alice Gibson attended the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention at the Pennsylvania Convention Center Sunday and watched a fire-breathing performance from the Ink Illusionists.

As the performer blew fire, flames suddenly engulfed his entire body and spread to the floor. The fire breather was able to put the flames out while event organizers quickly extinguished the fire on the floor by flipping a table on it.

Gibson told NBC10 the whole incident happened so fast that many members of the audience thought it was part of the show. The Philadelphia Fire Department did not respond since the flames were put out so quickly and with minimal damage, according to Hurd.

Hurd said the performer told him he was okay when he went to check on him. Gibson told NBC10 she noticed minor burns on his body.

NBC10 reached out to the Ink Illusionists. A spokesperson for the group declined to comment.

The Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention is an annual three-day event featuring appearances and performances from some of the most popular and skilled tattoo artists in the country.

The parents of two teenagers who were killed after a pickup truck collided with their minivan Saturday continue to recover.

Paul Hannagan of Downingtown, Pennsylvania is currently in good condition while his wife Margrete Hannagan is in serious condition, according to hospital officials.

The couples' two children, Charlotte Hannagan, 18, and Miles Hannagan, 19, were both killed in the accident. The driver of the pickup truck, Thomas Muir, 25, of Media, Pennsylvania, was charged with DUI.

Muir was driving a 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck northbound on Route 100 in Uwchlan Township Saturday around 6:55 p.m.

At the same time, Paul was traveling on North Ship Road and turning right onto Route 100. Margrete, Miles, Charlotte, and two other adult family members were inside the van at the time.

As Hannagan turned right, the pickup truck slammed into the van, according to investigators.

The force of the collision tore the minivan open. Miles and Charlotte were ejected from the van even though they were wearing seatbelts. They were both found on the shoulder of the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene.

Paul and Margrete were seriously hurt in the crash and taken to the Paoli Hospital Intensive Care Unit. The other two family members were treated and released at Paoli Hospital.

Several witnesses told police they spotted Muir driving erratically and at a high rate of speed swerving and making unsafe passing movements moments before the crash. They also said his truck struck the minivan from the rear at a high speed, causing the accident.

Muir was not injured in the crash. Police observed he smelled like alcohol, according to officials. Muir allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Chester County Hospital where his blood alcohol level was checked.

Muir was arrested and charged with two counts of Homicide by Vehicle While Driving Under the Influence, two counts of Homicide by Vehicle, two counts of Aggravated Assault, six counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Driving Under the Influence.

Muir was arraigned with his bail set at $75,000 cash. He was remanded to the Chester County Prison pending a preliminary hearing and remains behind bars after failing to post bail.

Charlotte was an 11th grade student at Downingtown High School West. Miles was a graduate of Downingtown High as well as a second year commuting student at West Chester University majoring in chemistry-biology.

"Words cannot express the sadness that our school community is feeling at this time," a Downingtown High spokesperson wrote. "Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to the Hannagan friends and family who are dealing with this horrific tragedy. DHS West will have grief counselors and support available for any student needing assistance in the days ahead."

Funeral information has not yet been released.

Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire inside a Delaware community center Monday afternoon, striking and killing an unidentified man.

The shooting occurred inside the basement of the Rose Hill Community Center on Lambson Lane in New Castle, Delaware. Police said a recording studio and gym area are both located in the basement.

The victim was struck and killed in the shooting. Family members of the victim were spotted outside the center after the shooting occurred, sobbing and crying out, "I can't believe he's gone." Police have not yet revealed the victim's age.

The gunman fled the scene after the shooting and police are currently searching in the surrounding area. They have not yet released a description of the suspect.

Officials say there were children inside the center at the time of the shooting. The center was placed on lockdown and parents were seen arriving outside. No other injuries were reported and children and teachers were sent home.

The Rose Hill Community Center is a nonprofit community agency. Several programs for local children take place there, including the New Castle Boys & Girls Club as well as the Head Start program, a free preschool program for 3 to 5 year-old children from low income families.
