King Bio has announced it is pulling all of its water-based products across all brands, amounting to more than 50 products intended to treat virtually every ailment from migraines to allergies, amid a national recall over concerns about possible purity issues.

The company's founder, Frank King, announced the expanded recall in a statement on the website Monday. Nearly three dozen children's medicines have already been recalled over the microbial contamination fears.

King Bio, a North Carolina-based company that makes homeopathic drugs, first said last week that a small percentage of its products produced between Aug. 1, 2017 and April 2018 tested positive for the microbial contamination.

The company said use of the medicines could result in increased or life-threatening infections. There have been no reports of illnesses, according to the FDA, and King Bio issued the recall "out of an abundance of caution."

There were still no reported illnesses as of Monday, and King Bio said it was notifying its distributors and customers by letter to arrange for return and/or replacement of all the affected medicines.

The recalled products are used to treat dozens of conditions, including allergies, migraine, anxiety, bed wetting, chicken pox, common colds, nosebleeds, sore throat and teething. Products meant for use on pets are also being recalled. They were sold nationwide between August 2017 and July 2018.

"We are truly sorry for the inconvenience or concern our recall may have caused, but we felt this was the right thing to do to maintain your trust," King said in a statement. "Thank you for your continued loyalty and confidence in our King Bio products."

Customers are urged to stop using the affected products immediately and contact King Bio by email at recall@kingbio.com or call the company at 866-298-2740, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. ET to 3:30 p.m. ET. Consumers who believe they may have been sickened by one of the recalled products should contact their physician or healthcare provider.

An arrest has been made in the hit-and-run death of a man who was crossing the street after getting ice cream in Bucks County.

Anthony Woods was arrested and is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.

Woods allegedly struck and killed Emmanuel Weintraub before fleeing the scene in Levittown, Pennsylvania, back on Aug. 21.

Weintraub, 70, was using a cane to cross New Falls Road near Amelia Drive in the crosswalk as heavy rain fell just after 9 p.m. As he was walking, a dark blue or black four-door sedan that went around a stopped car slammed into him, Falls Township police said.

The driver kept going, leaving Weintraub for dead, police said. The victim’s cane and shoes were left behind.

Weintraub, a retired postal worker, was a regular customer at JoJo’s Ice Cream & Water Ice, the ice cream shop said on Facebook. A fundraising event had just wrapped up at ice cream shop before the man was struck but he wasn't part of that event.

Investigators obtained surveillance images of the hit-and-run vehicle which led to Woods' arrest.

Eagles Inspire Henna Design for Wedding

Pauline Alegria, a newlywed and die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan from Maple Shade, New Jersey, showed off her love for the world champion Birds on her wedding day in a very unusual way.

"Recently, Indian brides have gotten very personal with the henna designs they use for a wedding," Alegria said. "I asked my artist if she’d be able to do something for the Eagles."

Alegria's love for the Eagles started on the day of her birth.

"I was born during Sunday Night Football, and my dad was watching the Eagles game while my mom was in labor. From then on, Sundays were for Eagles games," Alegria said.

Her parents are the reason for being such a passionate Eagles fan. They had season tickets, and Alegria was able to go to games with them when she was younger.

“I remember it being very cold most of the time, and we’d be standing outside with all of our coats on,” Alegria said, “Learning the fight song inside the stadium also brings back good memories.”

Last season is a high point, for obvious reasons. Alegria watched many of the games in Philly, and eventually celebrated on Broad Street after the Birds' historic Super Bowl win over the Patriots.

Alegria said her henna design for the wedding did not surprise any of her guests.

"I think it was more of a surprise that someone could do it. Everyone loved it, and it was a super cool touch that was personal to me and added to the wedding," Alegria said.

Police are searching for a gunman who shot a man inside a Philadelphia apartment.

The suspect shot a 26-year-old man in the lower back inside an apartment on the 2800 block of North 26th Street at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday. The victim was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Police say the suspect in the shooting barricaded himself inside a home on Montana Street around 5:30 p.m. SkyForce10 was over the scene as a few people were taken out of the house and placed in police custody.

Officers and SWAT went inside the home. They later told NBC10 however they did not find the suspect inside the house and continue to search for him.

Police Arrest 2 Men Accused of Killing Man in Chester

Police arrested two men accused of gunning down a Chester man and later fleeing from a pursuing officer who had survived a shooting two years prior.

Byron Minor, 28, and Eric Johnson, 28, both of Chester, are each charged with murder, criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy and other related offenses.

Both men are accused of killing Vincent Franklin, 36, of Chester. On May 21, Minor borrowed a Nissan Rogue from a friend who had rented the vehicle.

Minor and Johnson, who police say are close friends, then drove to the 500 block of Central Avenue in Chester shortly before 4:25 p.m. that day, according to investigators.

Once they arrived, Johnson jumped out of the vehicle and immediately fired at Franklin after spotting him in the area, police said. Surveillance video captured the shooting.

Police say Johnson fired at least 22 shots and struck Franklin several times. He then went back into the passenger side of the Nissan Rogue and Minor drove away, police said.

Franklin was taken to the Crozer Chester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a little more than an hour later.

About an hour after the shooting, police pulled over the suspects’ vehicle on the 1100 block of Taylor Drive in Folcroft. Minor and Johnson then allegedly fled the scene on foot while Folcroft Officer Chris Dorman pursued.

Police say either Minor or Johnson aimed a weapon at Officer Dorman who fired two shots. Neither Minor nor Johnson were struck however and they escaped by breaking through a wooden fence and running away, investigators said. Neither Dorman nor any other police officers were hurt in the incident.

Police used surveillance video of the shooting as well as video of the suspects driving onto 322 West to identify Minor and Johnson as the suspects, investigators said. They arrested the two Tuesday after getting testimony from witnesses, reviewing cell phone records and analyzing the surveillance footage, police said.

The incident was the second shooting in the past two years that Officer Dorman was involved in. In 2016, Dorman was shot in the face, leg and groin as he approached people suspected of smoking marijuana behind an apartment building in Folcroft.

An arrest was made in a deadly stabbing at a Philadelphia SEPTA station earlier this month.

Police confirmed a suspect is in custody in connection to the stabbing that occurred on a Regional Rail platform at SEPTA's busy Jefferson Station during the early morning hours of Aug. 9.

Police have not yet released the suspect's identity, a motive or the specific charges against him.

The victim, who police also have not yet identified, was stabbed several times at the station around 3:15 a.m. on Aug. 9. He was rushed to nearby Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he died about an hour later.

The entire incident was captured on SEPTA surveillance video.

“You can see the perpetrator actually on top of the victim, who’s laying on the platform being stabbed numerous times,” Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

After the stabbing, the suspect goes up the steps and exits the station on the street level, leaving a trail of blood through the station, Small said.

Their Sons Died. Now They're Trying to End Fraternity Hazing

A group of parents whose sons died from or were affected by fraternity hazing incidents have banded together to strengthen laws and policies and to appeal directly to fraternity members to stop the potentially dangerous practice, NBC News reported.

The first goal of the Anti-Hazing Coalition is to pass legislation in Pennsylvania named for Tim Piazza that would punish hazing with prison time. Piazza, 19, died after fracturing his skull in an alcohol-fueled Penn State University hazing ritual.

His parents, Evelyn and Jim Piazza, told their sobering story to a group of 500 fraternity brothers at a gathering in Phoenix this month, the first time they spoke together to stop the kinds of incidents that killed their son. They called their talk, which touched on the moment they said goodbye to an unconcious Tim, "Love, Mom and Dad."

"I'm a big momma's boy, and hearing moms talk about their sons being hazed to death broke my heart," recalled Spencer Bradbury, president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, after the event.

Overnight Shooting Closes Del. Elementary School

Out of “an abundance of caution,” a Delaware elementary school closed Wednesday after a man was shot and killed there overnight.

Dover officers found Derrick Combs dead of multiple gunshot wounds on the grounds of Towne Point Elementary School on Buckson Drive shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dover police said.

Investigators found no threat to the school, calling the deadly shooting, “not a random act.”

The Capital School District decided to close the school “In the spirit of utmost caution,” superintendent Dr. Dan Shelton said in a statement posted to the district’s website.

Teachers and students were gone for the day and never in danger in what Shelton called “a domestic incident.”

“Dover Police Department works very closely with the Capital School District in incidents involving our schools,” Shelton said. “We have no reason to believe that there is currently any potential threat against any of our students or staff. This is an ongoing investigation by the Dover Police Department.”

Students and staff should expect an increased Dover police presence when classes resume Thursday, Shelton said.

“As you know, the Capital School District takes student and staff safety very seriously and are saddened by the unfortunate events that may take place in our neighborhoods,” Shelton said.

Police didn’t reveal a motive for the shooting but said they do have a person of interest in the case.

Former Eagles Player Charged With Insider Trading

$

Former Eagles player Mychal Kendricks is facing federal insider trading charges, according to Philadelphia-based U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain.

Kendricks made nearly $1.2 million by trading ahead of four acquisition announcements from 2013 to 2015, officials said.

Damilare Sonoiki, a former partner at a global investment bank headquartered in New York City, is also facing insider trading charges for receiving kickbacks from Kendricks, including Eagles tickets and other perks, officials said.

Both Kendricks and Sonoiki are charged with conspiracy to commit securities fraud and committing securities fraud, according to investigators. The charges carry a maximum 25-year prison sentence and a $5.25 million fine.

"[They] were definitely not playing by the rules," McSwain said.

Shortly after becoming an employee at the investment bank, which was not identified during the news conference, Sonoiki set up a bank account that Kendricks could access, according to investigators. Soon, they began trading information and used coded language in texts to disguise an initial $80,000 transfer into the account.

Over the span of nearly two years, Kendricks paid Sonoiki in cash during in-person meetings, including one at Philadelphia's 30th Street Station, according to investigators.

Securities Exchange Commission officials said they traced trades made by Kendricks' account to an IP address associated with Sonoiki.

"Within a year of beginning his employment at the investment bank, [Sonoiki] was brazenly committing crimes," McSwain said.

According to a 2016 interview with the website Medium, Sonoiki is a Harvard University graduate and former writer for the ABC hit TV show "Blackish."

Kendricks is currently a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns, but will not travel with the team to face the Detroit Lions this week, a spokesperson for the team said.

Kendricks was quick to offer his side of the story Wednesday.

"I apologize," he said in a statement emailed by his attorney, Philadelphia lawyer Michael A. Schwartz. "I participated in insider trading and I deeply regret it. I invested money with a former friend of mine who I thought I could trust and who I greatly admired."

Kendricks went on to say that he "didn't fully understand the details of the illegal trades" but "knew it was wrong."
