A burned body was found on the side of a driveway leading to railroad tracks in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood Friday morning.

A delivery driver made the grisly discovery around 7 a.m. near a laundromat along E Allegheny Avenue near Witte Street.

Police sources with knowledge of the investigation told NBC10's Deanna Durante that it appeared to be a man and that it appeared he was dumped at the site then torched. The man was shot then driven to the site where he was dumped and set ablaze, said sources.

A truck driver found the smoldering remains while making a delivery to a nearby business, said witnesses.

A planned autopsy could reveal more details about the death.

The area is known in the neighborhood as "drug alley" and neighbors have asked the city to clean up trash in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia Police.

Deer Runs Wild Through NJ School

An unlikely enrollee was caught on camera trying to make its way into a New Jersey school.

Students captured cellphone video, obtained by NBC 4 New York, of the deer trapped inside a lobby at Ramapo Indian Hills High School Friday morning.

The footage shows the frightened animal running a lap around the empty lobby before losing its balance and falling on the floor. The animal then sits for a few seconds as its head darts back and forth.

Other videos show the deer stammering and falling in the lobby as workers try to get the animal to come outside.

The school's surveillance video shows the deer ramming into a parked school bus, then stummbling into the school after the impact. The animal couldn't keep its balance because the floor had been recently waxed.

One of the responding officers told NBC 4 New York the animal was bleeding a bit from the mouth, likely from running into walls and a glass doors. It didn't appear badly hurt as it ran into the woods, the officer said.

The deer was only in the school for about five minutes, but students found themselves talking about the animal all day.

"They told us to go to class and carry on, but you couldn't carry on like normal after that," said student Victoria Carione. "I was wondering what was happening all day."

It's not the first time a deer has made its way into a school in the Garden State this year.

In February, a 1-year-old buck crashed through a window at North Arlington Middle School, leaped over furniture and dashed into the student dean's office.

Offshore Low Influences Local Weekend Forecast

$

Early last week I mentioned the threat of a developing low east of Florida, potentially tracking into the MidAtlantic. Almost as soon as models agreed on the development, a massive cold front was forecasted to develop and beat out the low, essentially keeping it offshore.

The only thing that could have prevented the front from continuing eastward would have been it stalling out... well it did. It has now continued to move on as a cold front, but it timed out a bit slower, allowing moisture from the offshore low to beat out the front and push in some rain from the Southeast, making it to the Jersey Shore.

The predominant weather maker will be the cold front, but the coastal low will push some rain along the coast.

A quick look at winds, winds will definitely be a factor by Friday afternoon and Saturday. Wind gusts could reach up to 40mph along the shore.

As for temperatures...We drop into the 50's by Saturday!

An eastern Pennsylvania man abused four girls over a series of years, according to the Berks County District Attorney's Child Abuse Unit.

Detectives charged Jerry Negron, 36, with multiple counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault and corruption of minors.

During the DA's office investigation, detectives discovered that the girls, aged 7 to 15, were allegedly sexually abused by Negron from 2005 to 2015.

The Children's Alliance Center assisted with the investigation by interviewing the girls, who investigators said are all related.

The victims revealed that Negron sexually abused them at different locations in Mt. Penn Borough, Lower Alsace Township and Blue Marsh Lake, said investigators.

A judge arraigned Negron Friday afternoon and sent the Reading man to Berks County Jail after he wasn't able to post $250,000 bail, said court records.

Two New Jersey parents were accused of hiding drugs in their toddler’s diaper, while another father was allegedly spotted passed out in his car while gripping a hypodermic needle alongside his sleeping daughter, according to authorities.

Toms River police said they arrested 26-year-old Mckay Greenwood, 32-year-old Erica Richter, and 39-year-old Richard Olivadotti in a pair of unrelated cases. All three parents face drug charges.

First, on Oct. 14, authorities said they cuffed Greenwood after officers allegedly spotted the man passed out in his car in a Seaside Heights shopping center.

When officers arrived on scene, they saw the unconscious 26-year-old gripping a loaded hypodermic needle in the driver’s seat and his sleeping 3-year-old daughter in the car. Police said they also found several envelopes thought to contain heroin.

Three days later, police said they confronted Richter and Olivadotti in a parking lot in Skyview Park after they saw Richter vomiting by her car. As they approached, they smelled what they thought was marijuana and found the drug, along with several prescription painkillers.

After they brought the parents and their 2-year-old son back to police headquarters, they found a second bag of marijuana in the toddler’s diaper.

All three parents face child endangerment and drug charges, authorities said. It wasn't immediately clear if any of them had attorneys.
