The man died at Temple University Hospital a short time after he suffered his injuries, which included a head wound, according to initial reports.

NBC10 photojournalist Kristen Catalanotto reported that a large amount of blood marked the corner where the killing occurred as police investigated Sunday morning.

The gunman who police say opened fire on a South Jersey block Saturday, killing a man and leaving a 5-year-old girl hurt, remained on the loose Sunday -- but police said they have a warrant and know who the shooter is.

Authorities say Samuel James, 26, of Burlington Township, opened fire on the 100 block of East Federal Street in Burlington City just before 7 p.m., killing 24-year-old Byron Turner with a gunshot wound to the head. A 5-year-old girl who was on the block at the time also suffered injuries while fleeing the gunfire, police said, although they said she was not shot as initially thought.

Police said James' last known address is on Route 130 North in Burlington Township. He is now charged with murder and weapons offenses, and there's a warrant out for his arrest.

Police are asking the public's help to track down James, who they said stands about 6 feet tall and weighs about 140 pounds. They did not say what they believe motivated the shooting.

James is known to stay in Burlington City and Camden, besides his last known address on Route 130. Police asked that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact Burlington City Police at 609-386-0262, message the Burlington Police on Facebook or call Burlington County Central Communications at 609-267-8300.

Wrestling Coaches Strip in Protest of Penalty Point

A controversial penalty point at the 65kg bronze wrestling bout resulted in two coaches stripping down to their underwear on the mat.

Seconds away from a victory, Mongolia’s Ganzorigiin Mandakhnaran started celebrating his assumed victory in front of his opponent, Iktiyhor Navruzov of Uzbekistan.

When the match ended, judges gave a penalty point to Navruzov because Mandakhnaran didn't engage with his opponent in the final moments of the bout. That resulted in Navruzov winning the bronze on criteria as the last wrestler to score, The Associated Press reported.

In protest of the controversial point, Mongolian coaches stripped on the mat. The audience booed the decision and chanted "Mongolia, Mongolia."

USA Wreslting, the national governing body for the sport in the United States, reacted to the point on social media with astonishment.

It wasn't the only eyebrow raising moment on the wrestling mats Sunday in the 65k division.

American Frank Molinaro, of Barnegat, New Jersey, faced Andriy Kvyatkovskyy of Ukraine in a toothy repecharge bout.

He won that match 8-5 to advance to the next bout -- after weathering what appeared to be a bite by his opponent on the arm.

"There is the chomp," an announcer said on NBCSN.

Despite a protest mid-match, Kvyatkovskyy was not disqualified.

Molinaro went on to compete against 2015 world champion Frank Chamizo, of Italy, who won the bronze medal 5-3.

One person died and four others were hurt following a fire in the Germantown section of the city.

The fire started at a row home on E. Clapier Street Sunday around 6 p.m.

"We seen the smoke coming out and that's all we knew," said Eugene Brown, who lives near the home. "[We] tried to get whoever we can out."

Brown tried to get inside through the door but the smoke was too intense. He then smashed the front window.

"The smoke was too thick to even go in there and get there," he said. "We heard her fall down the steps but we couldn't get in."

Responding firefighters were able to get the residents out of the home and place the flames under control.

It was too late for one person who died. Another victim was critically injured and three others suffered smoke inhalation, said firefighters.

No victims were initially identified.

Neighbors told NBC10 a man lived in the home with his wife and described them as good people. Officials continue to investigate the cause.

Foul Balls Strike Young Girl, Woman in Phillies Games

For the second day in a row, a fan was hit by a foul ball during a Philadelphia Phillies game.

A young woman was hit in the face by St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Mike Leake's foul in the sixth inning of Sunday's game between the Phillies and Cardinals. She held an ice pack as she was helped to the concourse from her seat about 10 rows behind the dugout.

The incident occurred a day after a young girl was taken to the hospital when she was struck by a foul ball behind the St. Louis Cardinals dugout. During the bottom of the eighth inning of Saturday's game, Phillies shortstop Freddy Galvis hit a foul ball that went into the stands and struck the girl in the face. Galvis, the players and spectators looked on in anguish as the girl was carried out of the stadium. She was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she underwent evaluations.

Galvis said before Sunday's game that the team should extend the netting from behind home plate all the way to left field.

"The fans give you the money, so you should protect them, right?" Galvis said. "We're worried about speeding up the game. Why don't you put up a net and protect all the fans?"

The incidents have raised concerns regarding whether there’s enough netting to protect fans during baseball games.

“It’s hard to dodge a ball coming that fast and it’s kind of coming so fast in a big group of people,” said Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola. “Some people are trying to catch it I guess and some people are trying to dodge it.”

Mike Stiles, the Phillies Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer released a statement on netting Sunday.

“The Phillies expanded our netting this season to the sides of the dugout near home plate, as was suggested by Major League Baseball,” he wrote. “We decided earlier this season to consider the possibility of further expansion next season.  In making that determination at the conclusion of the 2016 season, we will take into account a number of factors including the opinion of our uniformed personnel and, most importantly, the wishes and safety of our fans.”

Closing Ceremony Ends Rio Olympics: The Rio Olympics officially came to a close Sunday night as the Olympic flag was passed to Tokyo, host of the 2020 Games, and the Olympic flame was extinguished. Rio threw the customary party, the closing ceremony, with typical Brazilian panache. It began with fireworks and a bright dance to samba music at Rio's iconic Maracana stadium and ended with a Carnival parade. The ceremony capped an Olympics that seemed in the run-up like it might never begin, threatened by Zika, political turmoil and budgetary shortfalls. But the opening ceremony came and the world turned its attention to 17 days of sports that largely went off without incident. By the end, two of the greatest Olympians thrilled crowds before announcing their retirements (though fans are holding out hope Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt return in four years). And just 24 hours before hosting the closing ceremony, the Maracana was the site of Brazil's greatest Olympic victory ever: a gold medal in men's soccer, the nation's sporting religion. The closing party celebrated the games and Rio itself, as brightly colored dancers formed the shape of the Christ the Redeemer statue and athletes paraded through a gauntlet of flags. Gymnast Simone Biles carried the American flag. The governor of Tokyo formally accepted the Olympic flag, with the Olympic anthem reverberating through the stadium.

US Olympic Committee Says Further Action Coming to Lochte Case: U.S. Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun said Sunday further action is coming in the matter of 12-time swimming medalist Ryan Lochte and his three teammates whose story of a robbery overshadowed the Rio de Janeiro Games. Blackmun offered no details on what disciplinary action may be coming, but made no effort to hide his frustration with the matter. "They let down our athletes," Blackmun said. "They let down Americans.” Lochte originally described the incident as an armed robbery, before the story unraveled. In televised interviews that aired Saturday, Lochte backtracked and said he "over-exaggerated" the story. Police said Lochte and three of his swimming teammates — all four were gold medalists — vandalized a bathroom after a night of partying and armed guards confronted them and asked them to pay for the damage. Blackmun said Lochte's story also harmed Brazil in how the storyline took a great deal of attention off the Rio Games themselves.

The second victim in the horrific t-bone crash between two New Jersey Transit buses in downtown Newark was identified Saturday.

Jesy Garcia, 49, of Newark, had been taken to University Hospital after the collision where she was pronounced dead hours after, according to police.

The buses collided on Raymond Boulevard near Broad Street shortly after 6 a.m. Friday. The driver of a No. 59 bus from Dunellen to Newark broadsided a No. 13 bus from Irvington to Clifton.

The driver of the No. 59 bus, James Barthelus, was the only person on board the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Seventeen passengers were on the other bus. All of them and the driver were taken to hospitals in varying conditions.

The surviving bus driver, James Roberts, who had been on the job for 35 years, has been released from the hospital, authorities said.

NJ Transit police Chief Christopher Trucillo has said the bus agency was cooperating with prosecutors and others investigating the crash.

"We at NJ Transit would like to give our condolences to the family of our driver who is a long time NJ Transit employee and our hearts and sympathies go out not only to his family but also to all our bus employees because NJ Transit is a family and when an incident like this happens it impacts everyone in a meaningful way," said Trucillo.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the collision.

Burglars Shoot, Kill Father, Injure Wife With 6 Kids Home

Two men, at least one armed with a shotgun, burst into a Philadelphia home overnight and shot and killed one of their victim, and injured his wife with the man’s children inside the home at the time.

"It appears that this is a home invasion, robbery, double shooting, homicide," said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The deadly incident played out after the men entered through a window of a home along N 7th Street near Erie Avenue around 1 a.m. Monday.

The man’s six children – ages 5 to 13 – were home at the time and some of them were in the same rear bedroom where the shooting took place, said Small.

Officers found the 35-year-old father dead of a shotgun wound to the abdomen.

Medics rushed his 40-year-old wife, suffering from gunshot wounds to her face and forearm, to Temple University Hospital. Though in critical condition, the woman was alert and talking on her way to the hospital, said Small.

Investigators found three spent shotgun shells on the scene. They also recovered more shells and a skull cap behind the home and a shotgun nearby.

Investigators believe the suspects knew the father.

The children’s grandparents came to pick up the children early Monday.

No word yet on possible suspects in the case.

A man is accused of beating his girlfriend's toddler son to death in South Jersey over the weekend.

Authorities said the 2-year-old boy's mother called 9-1-1 Saturday night when she realized the child was unresponsive in the Pennsauken apartment where they live. But it was too late: Doctors at Cooper University Hospital pronounced the little boy dead at 12:08 a.m. Sunday. Authorities said he suffered injuries including severe blunt-force trauma to his organs and torso area, along with internal bleeding.

Police investigated and quickly arrested 24-year-old Zachary Tricoche, of Pennsauken, for allegedly beating the child to death. Tricoche is the mother's boyfriend, police said.

Neighbors of the apartment on Mansion Boulevard near Frosthoffer Avenue said they saw an ambulance at the home late Saturday night, and then police cars parked outside and detectives coming in and out of the home through the night and into Sunday, NBC10's Cydney Long reported.

"They had gloves on and the guy was taking photos," said Dennis Manos, a Pennsauken resident. "Another guy was taking photos down the street. They were going in and out. The door was open all afternoon and they were going in and out. Carrying stuff in and out."

Neighbors told NBC10 the family moved in only a month ago and mostly kept to themselves.

"It breaks my heart," said Mabel Stevenson. "I can't even imagine what the parent, the family, feel like."

Tricoche faces charges including first-degree murder and was being held at Camden County Jail on Monday, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in front of Judge Edward J. McBride Jr. A source told NBC10 two siblings of the toddler were also injured by Tricoche and more charges could be on the way.

Every Baby Born on Elena Delle Donne's Golden Day Gets Nikes

One of Delaware's most famous athletes took home gold at the Rio Olympics and that means each baby born Saturday in her hometown hospital is taking home a pair of sweet sneakers.

WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne and the U.S. basketball team took home gold in dominating fashion Saturday – beating Spain by 29 points — and in honor of that big win, the parents of every child born at Christiana Hospital in New Castle County, Delaware, on the gold medal day got a special gift Sunday. [[390942441, C, 504,378]]

The bright green Nike kicks — with an orange swoosh — came with a special notice mentioning Delle Donne being born in the same hospital on Sept. 5, 1989.  It just so happens that Delle Donne is a spokeswoman for the hospital as well as Nike.

"It all starts now. 26 years ago, it started in Wilmington for a little champ just like you," read the message. "And today, Elena Delle Donne conquered the world. Maybe, someday, that could be you. Or maybe you’ll choose to do something else. There really are no limits to your potential. Whatever you decide, get up. Get out. And get started. Life moves fast. And in these, it will move a little faster. Just do it. Unlimited future." [[390942751, C]]

The hospital, which says it delivers more than 6,000 babies each year, said it gave out around three dozens pairs of sneakers. Other hospitals in other athletes' hometowns, including Delle Donne's teammate Brittney Griner's birthplace, also had similar Nike promotions.

The hospital said it's "#DelawareProud" and can't wait to see what this next generation of Delawareans accomplish.

No word yet if any of the newborns have a jump shot.
